The University of Technology Sydney is a public university founded in its’ current form in 1988 with a history spanning back to the 1870’s. It is ranked in the top 250 universities by the Times Higher Education world university rankings. It has campuses in Broadway, Haymarket and Chippendale. An interesting mix of architectural styles reflects the different periods in which the buildings and grounds were constructed and renovated.

Ichor was commissioned for the recent renovation project for UTS. The project spanned over four different locations on UTS campuses.

CSM was specified by Ichor constructions to contribute a significant design feature for their new conceptual design project. Ichor created a contemporary and edgy design concept through the use of organic materials contrasted with industrial elements.

CSM provided Ecesis plant walls for the four locations, a perfect product to fit Ichor’s design vision. The clean lines and added greenery contribute to the organic harmonious feel of the spaces, creating an aesthetic and relaxed working environment for students and staff on campus.

The Campbelltown Arts Centre is a multidisciplinary contemporary arts centre located in Western Sydney.  Campbelltown Arts Centre (C-A-C) is a national leader in the delivery of an expanding high quality community engaged contemporary artistic program. C-A-C is located on Tharawal land, with strong ties with Aboriginal Elders and community. It is owned and managed by Campbelltown City Council and is supported by the NSW Government through Arts NSW.

As CAC’s cultural collection continues to grow so does their need for space saving storage. CSM was specified to provide tailored solutions to accommodate their new storage requirements.

CSM manufactured and installed a series of self-based mechanically assisted rolling storage units to preserve CAC’s precious collections.

CSM’s has developed a diverse Cultural Collections storage range designed with the purpose of facilitating cultural centres and museums ability to protect their valuable collections. From Art Racks, solander boxes to hanging artwork on wire frames, CSM can adapt a solution to suit a variety of applications and assortment of timeless artefacts.

CSM was specified to provide storage solutions for Wetherill Park College’s recent renovation project of their administrative spaces and workshops.

Wetherill Park College is a TAFE NSW Institute in Sydney with a proud tradition of vocational education and training.  Located on The Horsley Drive, Wetherill Park NSW, it is recognised both nationally and internationally for its state-of-the-art facilities and training related to the vehicle and transport industries. The college is also know for its’ outstanding facilities for Tourism and Hospitality, including an operational training restaurant which is open to the public. Approximately 8,500 students enrol at the college each year.

CSM provided a range of storage solutions, putting together a product mix to cater to their unique specifications.

For the purpose of high-density document archival, Lite Track Rolling Storage was installed as well as open bookcases and Evolution Cabinets. The cabinets were also fitted with Evolution planters. Mobiletti Caddies and Pedestals were also added and customised using Dulux powder coated colours to continue Wetherill Park College’s colour narrative.

CSM customised Infinity tambours to be fitted with castors and seats creating multi-purpose units to serve both as functional storage and seating. This was a perfect space saving solution for the college’s workshops and offices. The fabrics used were produced in a range of vibrant colours to meet the specific colour design brief.

Congratulations to the nominees of this years  IDEA Awards!

We would like to wish the best of luck to Woods Bagot for Jemena, Bates Smart for Cushman & Wakefield and HDR Rice Daubney for Novartis nominated in the category of workplaces over 1000 sqm.  We are pleased to announce that we provided storage for these projects and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for specifying us.

Jemena is an Australian infrastructure company that builds, owns and operates a diverse portfolio of energy and water transportation assets across Australia. The new workplace for Jemena located on Level 11 to 17, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne accommodates up to 800 employees, consolidating what were previously a number of separate locations throughout the city.

Connection and collaboration was the key design driver for this new workplace designed by Woods Bagot. At 15,000sqm the project includes 5 new levels of workspace and two client floors. The project was executed in conjunction with FDC Construction and Montlaur.

The scale of the project necessitated a variety of storage solutions to include high-density storage as well as designer cabinetry and planter boxes for the open office spaces.

CSM was awarded the storage package by FDC Construction. Our local manufacturing capabilities allowed for the project to be delivered on schedule. CSM created a diverse product mix to cater to the client’s storage specifications.

CSM provided high density Self based mechanically assisted Rolling Storage units, Plan Cabinets, Systems Shelving, Infinity Tambour Door Cabinets, Infinity Planter Boxes and open book cases for this workplace. This is the third project that CSM are proud to have completed for Jemena.
