CSM’s National BDM Victoria Harris, joined friends and colleagues in Melbourne last week to celebrate women in construction at Building Brands’ “Racing Day” Luncheon held at the Glasshouse.

Special guest speaker Ita Buttrose delivered an inspiring speech recounting the challenges faced as a pioneering female editor in the Magazine and newspaper industry in the seventies.

Angie Greene, Stand up Events Founder also spoke and moved guests with her personal and heartfelt talk aimed at raising consciousness for discrimination and inequality in sports.

The event was hosted by Channel Nine’s Clint Stanaway and featured a fashion runway show presented by local designer’s Briggins and Thurley. The luncheon ended with a fun Phantom race call where guests were invited to buy and bet on fictional horses.

The event provided a great opportunity for women in construction to network and have some fun together.
