“The objective of the project was to consolidate staff member from L1 to L3 and provide an ‘agile’ working environment with a clean desk policy. As such, storage, both personal and for each department, was an important factor that needed to be considered during the design phase. After consulting with HR it was agreed that there was a certain level of storage that each individual required which was captured in the lockers designed.

The selection for steel manufactured lockers over joinery options was an easy one and was largely due to the modular system which would allow for easier and quicker installation. There was some hesitation at first with the acoustic properties for the steel lockers however this was overcome with the use of soft surrounds to absorb any sound transfer. The other deciding factor was the large choice of powder coating colours available which is captured in the photos.

Selected by Brookfield Johnson Controls as the preferred supplier, CSM provided ABW lockers and flipper door cabinets to one level of Verizon’s offices in Sydney’s St Leonards.

Verizon’s offices needed to allow for these ever changing and innovative business practices, creating the need for break out areas and collaborations spaces, encouraging increased communications between staff members and teams.

With an open workplace comes the need for more suitable storage options. CSM supplied front of house lockers in a range of bright Dulux Powder Coat colours for personal storage for both permanent and casual staff. The lockers supplied were made from full steel, providing strength and durability. Card holders for identification and the L200 keypad locking device were also provided, allowing for security of staff’s personal belongings.

Situated at the end of each row of workstations were CSM’s Flipper Door Cabinets for team file storage.

All cabinets were supplied in black to match the surrounding furniture, with individual locking doors for added security of confidential documents.
