Dept Fair Trading

As part of the government’s decentralisation policy, the Department of Fair Trading relocated to two new tenancies in Parramatta, occupying three floors in the Barrington Building at 10 Smith Street and two floors in the new Eclipse Building at 60 Station Street in Parramatta.

NSW Fair Trading safeguards the rights of all consumers and advises business and traders on fair and ethical practice. They provide services directly to individuals and businesses to create a fair, safe and equitable marketplace. The Eclipse Building now includes a new purpose-built Fair Trading Information Centre that provides improved facilities for Fair Trading staff to respond to consumer and trader enquiries and complaints.

CSM worked with INTREC to provide storage solutions for this two-phase project that involved a multi floor staged total strip out and refurbishment in two buildings. The new purpose-built work environments include agile and open plan working areas including kitchen and utility areas. The focus in the design of these new workplaces was to create spaces that support communities and provide a shared sense of culture.

CSM provided solutions for personal storage as well as high-density administrative storage. Tambour Cabinets, Lockers, power operated rolling storage units, mobile caddies and planter boxes were supplied to complete this workplace project.

The use of CSM Australian made steel storage accommodates the priority of incorporating sustainability into new office fit outs, in line with the NSW Government’s Sustainability Policy, which focuses on a more efficient use of resources.
