The key driver for Bank of China’s relocation to their new Australian HQ at 140 Sussex Street, Sydney was to create a landmark destination whilst keeping and respecting their Chinese Heritage. Designed by Group GSA, the workplace design reflects an elegant balance of Eastern and Western Culture with key elements, woven throughout the work space. Entire levels were assigned as destination levels for staff to gather, with supporting facilities such as commercial kitchens, a restaurant and a library.

Each component of the project required a unique approach, including the storage requirements. Partnering with Group GSA and Built, CSM supplied 496 Office Lockers each with mechanical combination locking for critical security functionality. The custom L shaped lockers were designed to support the refined interiors and to further maximise space. Made in Australian, both steel and Laminex finishes were incorporated across various levels, with numeric identification labels on doors.
